  • Sappi honours printers and their pursuit of print excellence

    The 2010 Sappi African Printers of the Year gala event held in Sun City on 12 August 2010 was a celebration of print excellence where printers and their winning entries shared the spotlight.

    At the glittering event hosted by Master of ceremonies Jo-Anne Strauss and entertained by the group NUBIA, this year's theme of Future Imprint was emphasized by Executive Director Marketing: Sappi Paper and Paper Packaging South Africa, Dinga Mncube: "This year, Sappi not only wants to honour the craft of printing and the legacy of the industry, but also the resilience that businessmen and women in your position have exhibited during the tough economic environment of the last two years."

  • Paarl Print Fire - Investigators making progress

    The tragic incident of 17 April 2009 at the Paarl Print factory not only completely destroyed the printing facility but also left several people seriously injured and 13 people dead. The extent of the damage and impact raised many questions and speculations as to the reasons for the cause and such rapid spread of the fire as well as for the resulting mortalities.

  • Book printing brought to life at the Book Fair

    Paarl Print is bringing a new dynamic dimension to this year’s Cape Town Book Fair, which is being held from 13-16 June at the Cape Town Convention Centre.

    “We will put ink to paper in live demonstrations on a Komori press erected on the stand and we invite everyone interested to visit us at stand H2. Five demonstrations will be held each day.”
