The heart of our business - Paarl Print - business moving forward

The Heart of our business

workers-heartsOur people form the foundation of our business through their expertise and commitment. With the new Paarl Print plant being established over the coming months, it is their passion for printing that will ensure we will continue to deliver the highest standards to meet our clients expectations throughout this period.

The new plant will initially be set up at Paarl Web until permanent premises in Paarl have been confirmed. In the interim, clients’ work will be completed with the same care and attention on existing web presses at this site. These have been adjusted to successfully deliver larger run commercial and book printing orders.

Further sheetfed capacity and capability has been secured through the setting up of relationships with external printers where some of their presses will be manned by our own machine minders. Paarl Print, therefore, continues to be in the position to service our customers as a valued print supplier.

Pre-press and Client Services have been temporarily set up at Paarl Gravure with other employees being deployed throughout the Group to continue to build their skills and experience. Machine minders and printers who are not running presses are involved in managing colour passes to ensure wherever we are printing, that we deliver the highest quality on time.

Following a detailed analysis of clients’ work as well as comprehensive discussions with the leading international industry suppliers, the best available technology and systems for pre-press, press and bindery are being selected for new plant to deliver the most cost, time and quality efficient print service.

With the commitment of our selected suppliers, we look forward to have our sheetfed capabilities up and running again in the next few months. Until then we will continue to approach each print job with the passion and dedication that is an integral part of how we do business.
