Fast economical printing of uncoated paper
In the newspaper industry every minute counts. Today’s artwork must be delivered to their readers tomorrow morning so they need fast, reliable production of high quality printing and inserting to meet their deadlines. Plus it must be done at the right price.
Our business is built on the fast, reliable delivery of quality products on uncoated papers. Coldset printing provides one of the more economical forms of fast printing, using uncoated paper and a less energy consuming process to produce the product. The majority of the world’s newspapers and retail inserts rely on coldset printing.
With printing plants across South Africa in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Pietermaritzburg and Bloemfontein, Paarl Coldset offer cost-effective solutions for newspapers, retail inserts and commercial material with unparalleled turnaround times throughout the country.
We cater for large and smaller print runs in broadsheet, tabloid and quarter fold formats for both high pagination and thinner products. The implementation of the latest technology and full automation of the production process ensures we have the capacity and capability to deliver award-winning work with optimal efficiency. We are 100% committed to meeting our clients’ individual needs.
Continuous investment in the latest press and mail room technology has established Paarl Coldset as lead printers in press technology, fully automated mail rooms and workflow, and colour optimisation systems and software. We have shifted the quality benchmark in South Africa to a level where coldset printing is an attractive commercial option.
Award Winning Performance
In testimony to their level of skills and technology employed, Paarl Coldset won awards for the printing of Die Burger, Volksblad and Naweek Beeld at the 2011 Mondi Shanduka Awards.
The Naweek Beeld, printed by Paarl Coldset’s City Deep operation, was awarded membership to the prestigious International Newspaper Color Quality Club (INCQC) for 2010-2012 and for 2012-2014.
