About the Paarl Media Academy
Being a leader in print technology and processes, Paarl Media understands that self-dependency and innovation in terms of skills development within the printing industry is critical to the industry and the Paarl Media Group. The Paarl Media Academy of Print was established following a comprehensive study of international learning programmes.
Based in Paarl this world class technical training facility is the driving force behind the personal development and performance of each individual through our online Centre of Excellence. Occupational, technical, functional, compliance driven, soft skills, leadership and management courses are offered through the Paarl Media Academy of Print.
In 2011, the Paarl Media Academy of Print launched its newly developed training curriculum for the Apprenticeship programme. The training curriculum follows a holistic approach and includes modules such as an induction to the Paarl Media Group’s conditions of employment, health and safety, technical training theory and the practical application thereof, assessment tools and criteria to demonstrate and establish competence.
This Training curriculum covers all the aspects of the apprenticeship as required by the FP&M SETA and exceeds those expectations through the inclusion and addition of fundamental and elective subjects including Mathematics and environmental studies.
The Academy as an Institute of Sectoral and Occupational Excellence (ISOE) is an accredited training provider with FP&M SETA and carries International accreditation from the City and Guilds of London Institute.
